UPDATE 10/29/2024 6:30am US ET: The Internet Archive continues to be back online, in read-only mode. Their blogpost of 10/28/2024 stated "More services & features coming online soon. Services may be interrupted for ongoing maintenance."
Attempts to log into the site are still met with the message "We're sorry. Login is not allowed at this time." It is hoped that full logged-in access will be available soon.
Links to recordings in the blogposts are working. For the next few days, blogposts will still provide active links to recordings at the MediaFire cloud service (downloads) and YouTube (streaming). The daily blogpost schedule continues, uninterrupted. We hope to be able to upload new Suspense Project pages very soon. UNTIL LOG-INS ARE ALLOWED, NO NEW PROJECT PAGES CAN BE LOADED and previous pages cannot be edited. These blogpost pages will be the only way to access the latest recordings for the time being.
The streaming panel at the top of the page was not working well. Choose "Webamp" instead of "Player" at the top of the page. THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY: CLICK "FLAC" in the download panel, and the recording will start automatically. To download, right mouse click either FLAC or VBR MP3 and select "save link as."
Some new blogposts may be temporarily unavailable. The blog is in the Blogger service provided by Google. Their "bots" scan new blogposts but have been misinterpreting the alternative links to download from MediaFire and YouTube sites as spam. It took FIVE DAYS for the blogpost for 1954-04-19 The Card Game to be reviewed and accepted. The second review request was at 5:30am 10/24/2024 and had the alternative download links removed; it was reinstated about 6 hours after that. As of about 3:31am 10/23/2024, 1954-05-17 The Revenge of Captain Bligh was taken down. That was thankfully restored in just 5 minutes. Why one can be such a problem and resolved quickly and the other cannot, is not known.
Those "unpublished" posts are resubmitted to Google Blogger and accepted after an appeal for review is made. The appeals have taken anywhere from 10 just 5 minutes to a few days for approval. Your patience is greatly appreciated. NO PAGES HAVE BEEN BLOCKED THIS WEEK.
The Internet Archive will be available again, in full, soon. All of the Suspense Project files are safe there.
